THE ROLE OF U.S. REGIONAL AND LOCAL RELIGIOUS BODIES IN SUPPORTING PEACEMAKING IN PARTICULAR COUNTRIES

U.S. religious bodies continue to learn about the important peacemaking efforts of religious people in countries across the globe and ask themselves ‘How can we help?’. They have consequently developed efforts to support the peacemaking done by people in specific countries.

Local, as well as national and regional religious bodies, support peacemaking in particular countries around the world. National religious organizations support peacemaking through elationships with religious bodies overseas. Regional and local religious bodies in the U.S. also support peacemaking either through national organizations or directly with groups overseas.
