Center's Staff

The Reverend Barbara G. Green is Executive Director of the Churches' Center for Theology and Public Policy in Washington, DC, a post she has held since 1998.

Under her leadership, the Center has expanded to include the Nuclear Reduction/Disarmament Initiative. Before coming to the Center, for 15 years she was a policy advocate for the Presbyterian Church (USA) in its Washington Office, where she specialized in international relations and security policy. From 1977 to 1981 she was posted by the National Council of Churches to Berlin, Germany as its liaison to the Federation of Protestant Churches in the German Democratic Republic (East).

A scholar in the life and work of the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, she is translator of his book, Discipleship. She chairs the international advisory committee of the German Kirchentag movement. She is author of numerous articles and co-author of Lines in the Sand: Justice and the Gulf War.

She is a graduate of the College of Wooster and Yale University Divinity School, including two years of graduate study at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She and her husband, Dr. Alan Geyer, are parents of two children.

T.C. Morrow is Associate Director of the Churches' Center.

She is a graduate of Vassar College (BA, Physics) and Wesley Theological Seminary (MDiv., emphasis in Biblical Interpretation). Ms. Morrow also serves as a part-time chaplain at Arden Courts in Potomac, MD, an assisted living center for people with Alzheimer's.

The Reverend Tyler Wigg Stevenson is Co-coordinator for the National Religious Partnership on the Nuclear Weapons Danger.

The Rev. Tyler Wigg Stevenson is a Baptist preacher and a writer. His work for nuclear weapon abolition began when he was recruited by the late Sen. Alan Cranston as a founding staff member for the Global Security Institute. Rev. Wigg Stevenson is the author of Brand Jesus: Christianity in a Consumerist Age, in addition to numerous magazine and newspaper articles and interviews. He holds degrees from Swarthmore College and Yale Divinity School.
